A CALL TO THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD

We are living in a time when wars, armed conflicts, social tensions, and deepening divisions in many parts of the world are making humanity’s shared future increasingly difficult.
We believe that peace is not solely the concern of governments, political leaders, or international institutions.

That is why, on September 19,
we invite the world to take part in a special international
model event.

  • ▫️This is not an event belonging to a single country, city, or organization, but an open invitation to the world.
  • ▫️We are not asking everyone to do the same thing.
  • ▫️We are not asking everyone to think alike.
  • ▫️And there is no need to travel to a single central event.

  • This could be:
  • ▫️A peace march.
  • ▫️A peace gathering.
  • ▫️A public discussion.
  • ▫️A university or school event.
  • ▫️A concert or cultural event.
  • ▫️A community gathering.
  • ▫️A peace message connected to a sporting event.
  • ▫️A prayer or moment of shared silence.
  • ▫️A work of art.
  • ▫️Any kind of local initiative.
  • ▫️Or simply a personal stand in support of peace.

The goal is not merely to create a single central event, but to demonstrate how independent local and international peace events can connect with one another. An event in one city can connect with an event in a city in another country, and one university can connect with a university on another continent. One civil society organization can establish contact with a community in another country. A small local initiative can be just as much a part of this shared story as an event involving thousands of people. The number of participants is not the most important thing. What matters is that we find one another.

There may be opportunities for:

  • ▫️sharing photographs and videos;
  • ▫️live broadcasts;
  • ▫️publishing short reports;
  • ▫️presenting local events;
  • ▫️connecting with participants from other countries;
  • ▫️displaying participating events on an international map.

  • If you are able to, organize your own event!
  • ▫️If you cannot organize an event, take part in an initiative organized by another community!
  • ▫️If you cannot participate in person, share the message of peace!
  • ▫️If you represent an organization, invite its members and partners!
  • ▫️If you lead an institution, provide space for the initiative!
  • ▫️If you are able to support it, contribute financially, professionally, or through volunteer work!
  • ▫️And if you know a community living in another country, invite them to take part as well!
  • ▫️Every community can decide for itself what it is able to do.

We would like to connect these separate initiatives so that together they can present the world with an international picture in which millions of people stand peacefully and voluntarily for our shared future.

We want to show that the world is not made up only of images of conflict, war, and division!
We want to show the other, more humane face of humanity as well — one in which people are capable of cooperating, and where, despite their differences, they can find common ground.
A world where peace is not merely a wish, but a shared act of humanity.
